The Board of Directors is composed of 7 members (voting), each elected for a 3-year term. Non-voting members of the Board may be elected by the Board for 1-year terms to represent various interest groups such as:  veterinary industry stakeholders, Practice Managers and Consultants, academic community practice, Academic centers focusing on the human-animal bond, mental health professionals, veterinary students, veterinary technicians, and other such groups as determined by the Board.
